His research experience spans more than 20 years and includes periods at the Friedrich Miescher Institute (Switzerland), CAEX (Belgium), the International Agency for Research on Cancer (Lyon) and the University of Bologna. He also holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in Monumental Arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp.<\/p>\r\n<p>More than ten years of largely self-funded, independent work have been carried out in a lean, founder-only structure.
