Consultancy
Dr. Erik Cabuy (PhD in Biomedical Sciences) offers comprehensive consultations to research institutions or the medical industry about the developmental origin of cancer growth, treatment strategies and potential technologies.
Erik also provides consultations to patients diagnosed with cancer. With a multidisciplinary approach, I provide patients with a broad perspective on their disease. Regardless of cancer type or stage, patients are welcome to seek my expertise. The consultation process typically involves an initial intake session followed by a more detailed discussion to delve deeper into the subject matter. Patient consultations are by appointment only.
Physicians routinely confuse making a diagnosis with what are merely descriptions of clinical pictures, which does not constitute a true diagnosis. Examples include leukemia, melanoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, glioblastoma, lung adenocarcinoma etc., all of which terms are in fact descriptions of clinical pictures and none of which is an actual diagnosis of the underlying cause. Most cancer treatments are therefore symptom suppressors with potential to accelerate the underlying pathology, which is why we frequently see increased malignancy and or metastases after treatment.
In contrast, the information provided during my consultations primarily centers around the developmental origin of cancer and explores how it can be effectively influenced or mitigated. This information would be very helpful (and may be lifesaving) for those who wants to understand their disease in a much broader biomedical sense than the current medical treatments only and act upon this. Recognizing the underlying cause of cancer enables you to make informed decisions for a more rational and effective treatment.
Talks
Invitations are welcome for presentations to individuals or groups. The main focus of the talks will be on explaining the developmental origin of cancer, which is very different from the current understandings. Details about the biophysical process and treatment options of cancer can be provided as well. A presentation takes approximately one hour or longer if preferred.
