The First Flower, 2026. Oil on canvas, 100 × 120 cm.

The painting explores an old philosophical idea: living forms grow from, and upon, earlier living forms—new growth that follows decay or replacement. This same pattern runs from molecules and cells to bodies and populations. The scene extends this concept: a new colony and new life on Mars arising from what was first built on Earth.
