RECORPUS is currently a sole proprietorship directed by its founder and principal investigator Dr. Erik Cabuy.
Erik Cabuy holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Brunel University London, a Master’s degree in Biology (magna cum laude) from the University of Ghent, and a Master’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Antwerp.
Erik Cabuy is founder and CEO at RECORPUS. Previously, he worked at CAEX nv and founded the non-profit organization CAEX vzw. Before this, he worked at Reliable Cancer Therapies/Anticancer Fund (Belgium), the Friedrich Miescher Institute (Switzerland), Brunel University London (UK), the International Agency for Research on Cancer (Lyon, France), the University of Bologna (Italy), Leuven and Ghent University (Belgium) and at Comprimo Engineering (Belgium/The Netherlands). He has more than 20 years of expertise in academic and institutional research in diverse fields including cancer and cancer therapy consultancy.
Erik’s primary focus revolves around understanding the intricate dynamics of organ growth, specifically the distinction between normal and distorted or aberrant functional morphologies. I am particularly intrigued by the role of physical fields, whether diffused or confined, within living organisms, and their influence on the propagation and sustenance of growth. This exploration becomes especially significant when examining the transformation of cells into what is currently identified as cancer. Furthermore, my quest for a cancer cure has led me to explore other properties related to homeorhesis and growth in general, such as aging and rejuvenation.
